Privacy policy

Last updated October 5, 2026

This privacy policy describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:

  • Download and use our mobile application (Level my RV), including its Apple Watch app, or any other application of ours that links to this privacy policy.
  • Visit our website at levelmyrv.app.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including support and feedback.

Summary of key points

This summary gives the key points of our privacy notice. You can find more detail on each topic in the sections below.

What personal information do we process?
Only what you give us when you send feedback or a question from the app: your message, your e-mail address and, if you choose, your name. We use your e-mail address and name only to forward your message to us so we can reply, and we delete them from our server once that is done. The app also sends anonymous usage statistics that do not identify you. See What information do we collect?
Do we process any sensitive personal information?
We do not process sensitive personal information.
Do we receive any information from third parties?
We do not receive any information from third parties.
How do we process your information?
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
In what situations and with which parties do we share personal information?
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf to run the Services: Cloudflare (website and server delivery) and Resend (e-mail delivery of feedback messages). See When and with whom do we share your personal information?

1. What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Feedback and questions. When you use “Feedback or Question?” in the app, we receive your message, your e-mail address and, if you choose to give it, your name. Along with it we receive the same technical details as the usage statistics described below (app version, device model, app settings, Bluetooth permission and the anonymous install identifier), so we can understand your setup without asking you. Our server forwards your message to us by e-mail, with your e-mail address set as the reply address so we can answer you. Your e-mail address and name are not kept on our server: they are deleted as soon as the message has been forwarded (see How long do we keep your information?). We never use your e-mail address for anything other than answering your message, and we never add it to a mailing list.

Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.

Application data. If you use our application(s), we may also collect the following information:

  • Mobile device access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device's Bluetooth, and other features. Bluetooth is used only to send level measurements directly between your own devices (for example, from the iPhone on the RV floor to a second iPhone, an iPad or an Apple Watch). These measurements are not sent to us. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

This information is primarily needed to maintain the operation of our application(s).

Anonymous usage statistics sent by the app

In short: The iPhone and iPad app sends small anonymous usage reports that do not identify you. We never receive your name, your Apple ID, your location or your device's name.

When you open the app, start leveling (“Level this RV”), start watching from a second device (“Watch from here”), finish one of those sessions, or record a device offset, the app sends us:

  • a random install identifier, created by the app the first time it runs. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your name or your device, and a new one is created if you delete and reinstall the app;
  • what happened and when: the app was opened, a session started or ended, or an offset was recorded. For a finished session: how long it lasted, how many display devices were connected, and how long a display took to connect;
  • how many times, in total, this install has used each of the two modes;
  • the app's settings: the type of RV (travel trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome), the unit system, and whether a device offset has been recorded;
  • the app version, and whether it is an App Store or test version;
  • the type of device (iPhone, iPad or Mac) and its hardware model (for example “iPhone17,1”, not the name you gave it);
  • whether Bluetooth access has been allowed for the app.

Older versions of the app send a subset of this: the install identifier, the two totals, the type of RV, and the app's build number and major iOS version (for example “iOS 18”), which are included in the standard technical header of the request.

If the device is offline, the app keeps these reports and sends them later. We use this information only to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used and to improve it. We do not use it to identify you, to advertise to you, or to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share it with anyone. The Apple Watch app does not connect to the internet and does not send us any information.

Information automatically collected

In short: Some technical information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, is processed automatically when you visit our website or when the app contacts our server.

Our website and server are delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web service, Cloudflare and our server automatically receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser or app type, and the date and time of the request. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information). It is used to deliver the Services, keep them secure and prevent abuse.

Our own server uses your IP address only briefly, in memory, to limit how many requests can be made (for example, to prevent spam through the feedback form). We do not store IP addresses in our database. Our website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

2. How do we process your information?

In short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To respond to user inquiries and offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
  • To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Services.
  • To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
  • To protect our Services. We may process technical information such as IP addresses to keep our Services secure and to prevent spam and abuse.

4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

In short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section.

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Service providers. We use service providers that process information on our behalf, only to provide the Services: Cloudflare, which delivers our website and server and protects them from abuse, and Resend, which delivers feedback messages to us by e-mail. They may only use the information to provide their services to us.
  • Business transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

5. How long do we keep your information?

In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

In particular:

  • Your e-mail address and name from the feedback form are deleted from our server as soon as your message has been forwarded to us by e-mail, which normally takes a few seconds. If it cannot be forwarded, they are deleted after 7 days at the latest. The message itself and the technical details sent with it are kept without them. The e-mail we receive stays in our mailbox for as long as we need it to answer you and follow up on your request.
  • Anonymous usage statistics are kept for as long as we offer the app, because they do not identify you.
  • IP addresses are not stored by our server at all (see What information do we collect?).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

6. Do we collect information from minors?

In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at [email protected].

7. What are your privacy rights?

In short: In some regions, such as Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

In some regions (like Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section How can you contact us about this notice? below.

We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section How can you contact us about this notice? below.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at [email protected].

8. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?

In short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Services, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g., backups, etc.).

9. Do we make updates to this notice?

In short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

10. How can you contact us about this notice?

If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at [email protected].

11. How can you review, update, or delete the data we collect from you?

You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please email us at [email protected].
